B.A. Nursing
Aim of the study programme Nursing Science is the constitutional improvement of the nursing practice. Graduates shall transmit new, science based know-how and therefore inherit an important role in the theory/practice transfer.
This programme is primarily designed according to qualification requirements from the practice. Nursing jobs are in a broad professionalisation process and therefore more and more forms of academic education are required. Because of the increasing competition the pressure for innovation is rising. Nursing experts are educated for introducing, accompanying and evaluating practice concepts in all areas of action and thus they are skilled for innovation-, process- and project management.
The study programme Nursing Science is targeted to all employees working in the nursing sector. Because of the broad scale of activities, this programme is especially interesting as the distinctions between single areas as hospitals, elderly care or children’s care are overcome.
Nursing experts can work in any area of action where it is taken care of people. They will arrange for the conceptional advancement of the nursing practice and thus could also be described as change agents. Tasks also include project- and process management. According to this job profile positions in the following areas may be possible:

Admission requirements are the university entrance qualification and additionally a three-year-apprenticeship in the care sector.
Nursing Science is a six semester full time study programme. Graduates will be awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).
